Mrs. Rice's Computer Lab Fun

    The goal of the Computer Lab is to give students from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade a solid foundation in the basics of using a computer in exciting and challenging ways.  With thirty five iMac desktop computers, the students have the opportunity to learn the following:

       - basic keyboarding skills

       - keyboard shortcuts

       - the basics of using word processing and presentation software applications

       - how to navigate the Internet

       - Internet Safety 

    Since science is a primary focus at Brentwood Science Magnet School,

California State Science Standards are incorporated into the lessons for

each grade level.

    In addition, the Teachers also have the opportunity to bring their classes to the Computer Lab to supplement classwork.
